27” Sweep

Conservation tillage practices have required a product change in what we all used to call “26 inch sweeps”

It is important to know that ShieldAg has also increased our width of these “FallowMaster/FallowKIng” sweeps to 27-1/2” wide, to assure a 27” wide cutting width.  The extra sweep overlap on a typical machine is about 1-1/2” and it can help with tough weeds that “wind their way through” the gangs on a machine.

Years of testing and product improvement at Shield gives us the smoothest finish and longest life standard fallow sweep, with Surfa-Shield© wear protection on the nose, leading edge and the mounting stem—where a lot of sweeps give up well before the edges are worn down.

Our wear-life process is extremely smooth to scour up quickly and leave the field with fewer clods. And we designed a drop-nose feature to help it take the ground easier in the toughest conditions. We know that many farmers use their 27-inch fallow sweep as primary tillage—something that was intended for our standard 5- and 6- foot V-blade equipment, so we have designed and tested it to work well in a variety of conditions.

Get the “Shield Edge” with our line of 27” fallow sweeps, offered with top hardsurfacing or bottom hardsurfacing, for maximum flexibility in your field.
